Juvenile Crimes

juvenile crimes

In the state of Texas, minors ages ten to sixteen will be charged in juvenile court. The difference between a minor and an adult being convicted of a crime is that the minor will not face a jury trial, and the emphasis is on rehabilitation rather than punishment. Juveniles can, however, serve time in a juvenile hall or a youth penitentiary system in a conviction.
